Prison Ministries

The Prison Ministries Department is committed to training volunteers to reach every inmate, their family members and friends to share the good news of Jesus Christ and His soon return.  This outreach ministry visits every third and fourth Sabbath evening at the Marion County Jail for Women. Activities include worship and prayer services, bible and correspondence studies, pen pal programs as well as a variety of annual activities.
Training begins at the Pendleton Correctional Facility, 4490 W. Reformatory Rd., Pendleton, IN at the Training Center in the back of the prison.  Training is from 6:00-8:00pm.  Please bring a pen and photo I.D.  Volunteers will meet for services for the inmates after the training period every third Sunday of each month from 12:00-2:00pm.
If you would like additional information on becoming involved with this ministry as a volunteer, or know someone in prison who would like to be contacted, e-mail Teresa Warner at or call 638-2216.
